Whispers

Piles of leaves, kids were laughing and jumping
I closed my eyes, your hair was blowing across my chin
My hands under your sweater, the warmth there like an old friend
Then you pulled me close and whispered

I may die today, I may die tomorrow
I just wanted you to know my love
Not to be afraid, for I will go happily
I just wanted you to know my love

Remembering you dressed in white
The sun gleaming, birds singing their songs
Our families there, freshly cut grass filled the air
And after our kiss, you whispered...

I may die today, I may die tomorrow
I just wanted you to know my love
Not to be afraid, for I will go happily
I just wanted you to know my love

A brisk Sunday morning, staring up the chestnut tree
So peacefully swaying in the breeze
When I looked down, you became one with the ground
And I heard the wind whisper...

I may die today, I may die tomorrow
I just wanted you to know my love
Not to be afraid, for i will go happily
Yes, I just wanted you to know my love
Love
Love
Love
