To be released on May 26th, 2019

Shot over the course of a year, "Whispers" is a short film style music video that explores themes of time, new beginnings, grief & acceptance -- in no particular order.

Featuring actress Julia Prock-Schauer and directed / filmed by Georg Melichar, this video was a lot fun to shoot.

It was my first time in front of the camera in an acting type of role, which wasn't my idea, but Georg strongly suggested it for a concept he had in mind.

I'm a somewhat shy guy by nature, but I have gotten used to playing music in front of people (and sometimes cameras). This project was a completely different animal though. Julia & Georg were both super encouraging & supportive and I felt at ease pretty quickly while working with them.

I thoroughly enjoyed my conversations with Georg about the storyline and just talking creative ideas over some craft beers and whiskys (we have since started co-hosting a monthly craft beer & whisky pairing night).

The story seemed to take on a mind of its own after a while, and I'm glad we could both it some space to reveal itself.

Julia was also a real pleasure to work with on & of set. Be sure to check out one of her theater performances if you are in Vienna (or South Korea) anytime soon.

I'm not sure the acting thing will continue for me, but we are already diving into some new music video projects. It's a different creative platform than songwriting, performing music and brewing beer -- and one I really quite enjoy so far. In fact, a completely new DIY video project is already in the works, and I'm really excited about it.. so stay tuned!

"Whispers" was the first song I ever wrote that stuck around. After throwing away hundreds of songs over the years, this one just said, "Hey dude, I'm a keeper." That was almost 10 years ago, and if this one hadn't stuck around, who knows if I would have continued writing songs.

I was super happy to finally release the track on our debut, self titled EP in 2017--  but now I'm even happier to see it accompanied by this film and take on a whole new life.

Special thanks to Cafe Lassa and everyone who participated in the shooting (and of course to Beaver Brewing Company for hooking us all up with free beer that day).

The video will not be released online until Georg hears back from some film festivals.. so that may take some time. We will likely post it publicaly in spring of 2020. In the meantime, we are proud to present a special pre-screening / premier at Cafe Lassa on May 26th, complete with a short, 30 minute live performance. Hope to see some familiar faces there!

Cheers, Jason
